This charming pub is conveniently located near the main street in Battle. I really enjoyed the vintage decorations scattered throughout the space, which add to the welcoming atmosphere and enhance the experience of sipping your pint. The food was excellent; we enjoyed haddock moray with new potatoes and fresh vegetables. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5.

The restaurant was quite disappointing. There were only three other customers present, and the bartender was rude, making disparaging remarks about the patrons. When I inquired about food, she simply brushed it off by saying, "We're not a café; we're a bar," which was quite frustrating. Overall, it was not a good experience.
