The premises are aging as only old buildings can be and the bathroom is functional but not lovely. But this trip isn't about the bathroom make it for the soup and the multi generation family that's running the place.
Yummy experience, stopped here on a very cold winter night. First time and what a great experience... The menu was a great surprise, many real homemade soups and big selections of hot and cold sandwiches. I recommend a speedy open faced sandwich with Swiss cheese. Kim had fried balcony provolone on a pretzel roll. Plenty of beers and mixed drinks. Break the normal dinner and take a drive to Lima. Warm homemade chocolate chip with your check!
The best soup and sammiches ever. The service is always good. best bartender in the county. Service: 5
Had lunch in this magnificent building. Gorgeous interior, friendly staff, great food. Soups are their specialty and they were very yummy . Had a turkey Reuben sandwich that had lots of meat and great rye bread. Only one waitress but the people in theback kept things moving helping her out. Lovely little town. Stopped at the farmers market across the street... Tuesdayafternoon.
Awesome 1800s family-owned hotel/restaurant on the corner of State Route 15A the famous Route 5 20. Excellent lunch selections, famous for their homemade soups.
