He practically broke down and yelled at one of our party (we were 10 for Sunday brunch) and I only saw 2 other parties that day (Saints game at noon). When it was time for the bill, it was a fiasco! He returned 3 times from trying to correct it when one of us went with him to the computer to help him out and it was still wrong! I believe everyone wanted off of work for the game and they got him in there from Lord knows where and it was just too overwhelming for him! I will return and enjoy Andrea's in the future and will just let this one go. I hope this helps manage the restaurant better without hurting the waiter!
Two of us went for a birthday dinner. I'm not sure what was happening this particular night but we ordered drinks, an appetizer and entrees all together. The drinks seem to take time to get and the bread. When we did receive the bread it wasn't hot. It took at least 45 minutes to be served the appetizer. Waiter apologized for the delay at first saying they had a large party backing them up. He again apologized saying that the food tickets that go back to the kitchen got lost and they ran out of paper in the machine. They had parties that came after us that had received their food before us. The Waiter indicated that the Manager offered a round of drinks at no charge. When the Manager spoke with us we indicated we appreciated the gesture but we had not come to Andrea's just to drink. We finally received the appetizer which was good. One of our entrees was good, the other was okay. Finally we ordered dessert and this rounded off the disappointment. The cannoli we ordered tasted old and like it sat in the refrigerator for several days. Dessert was complimentary and unsure if it was because it was a birthday or because of the challenges during dinner. When we were finally leaving the Waiter apologized for the third time and gave another reason for the delay, they were not staffed well in the kitchen. I'm not sure what was happening on Saturday night, August 27th but we left the restaurant extremely disappointed. We were given 3 different reasons for the delay and during the delay you could sense the discomfort by the waiter and manager because they avoided our table as much as possible. Very disappointing...I will not say I wouldn't recommend to friends because hopefully this was just a one off and not a typical night at Andrea's!!!!!
Service here is super slow : Especially since the restaurant was quite empty. the waiters are friendly but took way to long in every aspect of our dining experience I have not been here in a few years because of covid. I food was not very good. Shrimp were wee see y too chewy. Didn't seem fresh. Soup was nothing special. Fish dish lacked flavor. No seasoning. Overall not a great experience.
Haven't been in many years, fear actual experience would not hold up to our memory of it...wrong, wrong, wrong! It was even better. Food outstanding and such a pleasure seeing Andreas walking the dining room chatting and visiting...will not wait decades to return!
Basic Italian food, nothing memorable. Bland meatballs and sauce. Way too much balsamic dressing on salad, so we did not finish. Bread was served warm (good), but without oil or cheese on the side. Only butter! We're Italian-Americans from Chicago, so we expected a bit more in the way of great Northern Italian food. Server was competent, but no personality at all! Clean, old-fashioned decor restaurant. Overall, 2-3 stars.
