The manager also welcomed us and engaged in a brief conversation. The menu was extensive, without any pictures, but don't let that intimidate you. I ordered the duck meatballs, which were satisfyingly filling for an appetizer. Although there were only two meatballs, they made for a great starter for the group to share. The fried calamari was light and flavorful. The pasta dishes we ordered were all generously portioned for the price. The flavors were spot on and everyone enjoyed their meals. Most of us ended up taking our leftovers home due to the large portion sizes. The staff and manager checked on us multiple times and provided helpful suggestions to navigate the menu. For dessert, we tried the tartuffo, which was a delicious way to end the meal. We were also treated to a housemade Limoncello as a parting gift, which went down smoothly. Overall, it was a fantastic end to a lovely evening. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future for group gatherings or special occasions.
Oh my dearest. It was the nicest meal I've had in queens yet. The restaurant was quiet on a Tuesday night so we got very personalized service from the waiter. The food came out 100% perfect. We weren't rushed out at the end and were allowed to sit and digest and chat. It was a great ambiance.
My favorite restaurant in New York since it opened in 2009. Never had a less than spectacular meal Giussepe, his sons and staff are all masters of their trade. Wish I lived closer!
The restaurant did not live up to the hype. It was not worth the visit. The food was disappointing and we were hoping for better quality.
This is a cute and cozy little place. The menu brings to mind a somewhat different and maybe more authentic or home made cuisine. We were very excited to try some of the items. We ordered the chestnut pasta with a pistachio cream sauce. It was interesting. We had a hankering for veal parmigiana (I know, so common! and it was so tough I could barely cut through the veal (completely serious . We sent it back and they brought us a chicken version. It was okay but nothing to rave over. The broccoli rabe was very good. Solid tiramisu. I don't know if this review will end up on the bathroom wall like the others..maybe mine isn't so bad!!!
