On arrival during one of our famous heavy rainfalls, there is still no way not to get soaking wet in order to enter, no awnings, nothing. Then after entering,a server pointed me to a vacant table toward the middle of the main dining room and told me sit there . We went to the table to find that there was no way to pull out the chairs because they were so tightly packed to nearby tables. I felt bad for the two people on either side who politely tried to squeeze themselves in closer to they 're own tables in order for us to attempt to sit down. It was impossible. I called the waiter over and told him if he could sit down at that table then we would give it a try. His reply was, yea, it 's too tight , he took us to the last dining room on the east side where there were about three tables available and we took one. Looking around I couldn 't help but notice that we were the only white folks in the room! I thought it strange that the other dining room had ONLY white folks! I can only hope that this was a coincidence, I felt like I was back in the segregated south, and a bit upset by it. I used the rest room to find that the floor was littered with paper towels, I 'm not exaggerating when I say there must have been at least a hundred paper towels on the floor. Filthy filthy place. Deciding to go to the serving line I went for the roast beef where the man cut me a piece of beef about 3in by 4 inches and so thin you could read a newspaper thru it. He refused to give me a larger or thicker slice saying I could get more after I ate that! There is no way I could put up with the ignorance of the servers of staff, I put my tray on the table and simply left the dump. I felt so bad for those people herded into the back dining room, and wonder if any of them noticed what I did. I can only hope that it wasn 't intentional. I found that this place not only serves the worst possible quality of food, but it also offends the senses in every possible way. Never again will I go to another Golden Corral in this or any other State.
I thought after the Commercial Golden Corral opened up after months of being closed it would be newer and better. It seemed to be the same if not worse. Upon arrival our party of six was greeted with disdain. We had a hard time finding a clean tray. We finally settled for somewhat clean trays. On the floor under the tables there was much food, our sever like all the overs seemed miserable, and he barely checked on us. It took a while to get our eating utensils which were dirty, there no bowls available for soup, and the food display was untidy. What really peeved me was the food left on the floor which caused my son to fall with food in hand and hurt his knee. I really wanted to leave but chose to stay hoping maybe the situation might get better. No such luck. We cannot recommend this Golden Corral to anyone but I heard the one in Pompano is worth the trip.
I was visiting family in Fort Lauderdale and went to eat at the location at 2100 Atlantic Blvd on Sunday around 8:10 pm. The food line was awful, I spoke to manager of food line and my concerns didn't faze him. After I tasted the food it was cold and dried out and looked horrible. Then I went to the store manger and expressed my concerns to him and he could care less. I have never been treated so rudely and not even given an excuse or offered some regrets about the food. Neither manager responded to my complaint nor came to my table. I spent over $45.00 for my party and we could not eat the food. I am sure this is not the practice of this franchise. If you visit the ones in Tampa, Brandon, Bradenton you will never be treated in this matter nor will the food look and taste the way the food at your location. The managers on duty that evening was Mike and Victor. I am sure they are not the type of people operating your business.
I use to love Golden Corral until they reopened. Maybe the staff are all new people? The service was horrid. We had to ask a few times for each thing we wanted. The meat guy didn’t know what a rare steak was and the bakery man didn’t understand when I told him there was a FLY stuck in a cake and it needed to be replaced. After telling the manager, the manager walked up and told him to replace it. He said the next cake isn’t ready and left it there for 15 mins. Anyone could have eaten a cake with bugs in it. They need people that understand English and have better customer skills. I hope it goes back to how it was!
You definitely won't leave hungry. The baked goods are so fresh loved the rolls. Steak, meatloaf, ribs, and chicken were all tasty. The side dishes were equally well prepared. Went on Easter Sunday and the line moved fast and service was excellent.
