The atmosphere was fantastic and authentically themed, which added to the overall experience. Now, regarding the flavors of the food, let's focus on the Great Feast. The spareribs were incredible—so tender they fell off the bone with every bite. The roasted chicken was also outstanding—fully cooked, wonderfully seasoned, and juicy. The corn and vegetables were cooked perfectly soft, though they could have used a little more seasoning; a pinch of salt did the trick. As for the fish and chips, I have to be honest—I’ve had better, but given that I live in Alaska, my standards are fairly high in that department.
The best food at Universal Studios! We visited for lunch and tried the fish and chips as well as the Shepherd's Pie. The portions were enormous. We didn't have to wait long, and the atmosphere really made it feel like we were dining in Hogwarts. The beer was great too!
I've eaten at several restaurants in Universal, and I would say this is definitely one of the best (if not *the* best) spots in the park when it comes to quality, portion sizes, value, and atmosphere! There was a one-hour wait for lunch, so we decided to go somewhere else, but returning for dinner turned out to be a great choice. The dining experience felt much more genuine without the large crowds, as there were not many people there. In the photos, you can see the ribs, sticky toffee pudding dessert, roast chicken, Butterbeer potted cream, and pumpkin juice.
We came around noon on a Monday (4/16/23). Getting in to order was quick. We could see food prep was quicker than what they could get out to customers. Probably waited maybe 15 minutes, which for a theme park is not bad at all, just seems like there could be a better workflow to get completed plates handed over quicker. Like, you can see plates prepared with the food building up all over. The one guy getting the food out to customers was good, he never stopped working for a minute, but others behind the counter and not in the food prep area moved like they ate my edibles. Anyways... Got the turkey leg with potato wedges. Average turkey leg, fries were lukewarm from waiting, but at least they still had a crispy exterior. Also got the butter beer as a slushie. Very frozen, so great when it's a hot day. Overall, OK. The interior has excellent decor, even when looking up towards the ceiling.
3.18.23 I will start by saying I like The Harry Potter series. Just not a mega fan. My family and I purchased the dinner platter, a little pricey, but it came with chicken, ribs, corn on the cob, potatoes, carrots, and broccoli. The chicken was well seasoned and good, now to me, the ribs BBQ sauce was a bit spicy, and it's not advertised as such. The veggies were good. We also had frozen butter beers and apple cider. Both were very delicious. Also had the bangers and mash. Pretty good.
