The butter chicken ended as the table favorite, but we had a nice selection of dishes and overall I enjoyed all three. We have also shared an order of Plain Basmati Rice $2.50) and two orders of Garlic Naan $3.50). Naan just fits perfectly with everything. I love dipping it into the tasteful sauces. We ordered each of the dishes on medium heat, with the butter chicken with the most noticeable kick. I can see why Foursquare tips suggested that we order it.
Sometimes menus speak louder than words. From type face, to clip art, to price, what a restaurateur prints on a menu tells you a lot about what kind of restaurant you've walked into. I like menus with inventive dishes. I like menus kitchy sandwich names.
Stumbled across this sweet place for dinner- we were in a rush and the server/cooks ushered us in with the swiftest kindness. The food was fresh, cozy, and perfectly spiced. The guava/pom drinks were divine, and the absolute precious server complimented our night by sneaking rice pudding into my to go box. Would 100% visit again.
July 2021: I had a taste for Indian food and decided to give this restaurant a shot. I ordered the butter chicken, white rice, and naan to go. It was delicious, but the portions were smaller than I would've expected. Conclusion: I will have to go back for the dine in experience and to try their version of the lamb vindaloo. Pros: Tasty authentic Indian food. The homemade spicy hot sauce is amazing with a kick by American standards. I did takeout, but the dine-in experience looked interesting. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options at the Taylor Road location. The soft, subtle world music playing in the background added to the ambience. Equal opportunity employer. I noticed an African American waitress delivering food to customers seated outside. They accept cash and credit cards. They allow customers to call-in and order food for takeout. They serve alcohol beverages, if you're into that. Cons: Portions slightly smaller for takeout probably due to the container sizes. In my experience, it seems that more food is given when dining in at Indian restaurants.
