Joy Teriyaki - University Place

I was really excited that this moved to the university square when I had been to the old one on the 6th ave and it was great! Unfortunately, it was terrible to eat. the sauce on my orange tofu was watery and like a suppe in the bottom of the plate I asked to have made it new, but as it was the same. she admitted that she made it again with the exact same sauce. I just got a refund. my daughter had toofu yakisoba who did not stir fried, and had no taste. the tofu was just roasted in frittier, there was no maize starch or brot on it. I hope they only have problems to stop cooking, but it was very disappointing.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options, eating was quickly prepared and was very good. was generous. they cannot go wrong with deep fried tofu covered in teriyaki sauce!

The Honey Garlic Tofu was some of the best tofu we have ever tried! so yummy and full of flavor. For a Stir Veggie Chicken, we felt it was lacking veggies.. it was a lot of cabbage and a little broccoli. Everything tasted fresh though! we may try again for that tofu!

I really enjoyed the Beef Short Rib Teriyaki (Large) - it was hot and fresh. The fried rice and steamed veggies were also delicious. The Honey Garlic Chicken had great flavor. I found the 4pc Jumbo Beef Gyoza to be just okay, and I'm unsure if I would order them again.

This restaurant is amazing! The new spicy garlic chicken is delicious. The orange chicken and fried rice are always fantastic. Please consider adding a spicy orange chicken option to the menu. I love to pair the spicy sauce with my order and pour it all over the orange chicken. I give it a perfect 10 out of 10!
