Treff 2000 - Untertauern

This location is popular because it's one of the few restaurants in Obertauern where you can take the gondola straight to the restaurant without needing to ski. Unfortunately the menu is not extensive. We had a Knöddel soup which was actually very delicious, and also the pizza. The pizza was nothing special but it was still nice to have a pizza on top of a mountain. The ordering process was also kind of weird- for most things you had to go inside and order at the food counter and the pizza you order at your table. Say what? Yes it's true. Shocking. So, all in all it was a place to eat and I sure am thankful for that, but there are still a few handful of options that offer a wider variety of better food. I think there is 1 other restaurant (which I will also review) that you can access from a gondola directly.

What a disaster! Just spent New Years dinner here. It's an absolute hazard entering at the front door. But that was nothing. Took the gondola up and had to WALK down a major slope at 1 AM. Crazy stupid. Thought we were to talk a skidoo down ... not. Train wreck. Don't ever go here!!
