BUT, the management of the front of the house has to go a long way, hardly to be competent as lenders of hospitality. We had made reservations thru Open Table, confirmed for 7:30PM. Upon arrival I told the server that we reserved the Davis Party, thru Open Table. He said: “We have open tables, no reservation is required.” I pointed out that we wanted to be accepted in such a way that we kept our reservations as we save prices. Then he announced that Thai Basil (Ober Arlington had not started with OT (REALLY! How is it that they appeared on the OT app, with openings that were named in the evening and that I had received the confirmation of OT of my reservation? We were met by the...Spartan establishment of the restaurant. All right for a pizza trip, but not according to the standards one has for a sit-down restaurant in 43210. Darkness outside, the dining area was grotesque illuminated with available lighting short lumens, at the blue end of the color area. The effect was, even for those of us who have taken pain to appear human and healthy, each evoked a touch of the recently late; a little queasy-inducing. When the food was served, the sweet potato needed pakora salt. Salt and pepper are not a feature on our table, I have requested salt from the server. About ten minutes later, salt and pepper, in dipping dishes, was delivered with the comment: "We have been open for six weeks and no one ever needed salt and pepper." (For the second time, REALLY?!
The food was very good. Price. The staff was not very friendly, but the service was good.
We have a groupon to taste the new place and it was great. No one was there at 8:45, so we had all the space for us. The service was fast and the food was very good, especially the crispy crabs lagoons!
