Do not shop at this store the clerk engaged me in conversation and then charged me 115$ for two bags of rice some condiments and frozen food, these guys are thieves.

I first visited Dana Mandi when it was located downtown on Chestnut Street. I indulged in their mouthwatering parathas with butter and enjoyed a large glass of tea. Fast forward five years, I recently tried to locate this place again and found out it had moved to Upper Darby. While traveling back to New York from DC with my parents, I mentioned that I would get them the best quality Punjabi tea from this spot. To my surprise, when we arrived, Sardar Ji (the owner) informed me that due to significant property damage from floods and a dwindling customer base, he had to close the food corner. I felt sorrow for their situation and politely inquired about alternative nearby places. He responded, "Wait, you are my guests now," and offered to bring us some fresh tea from their kitchen downstairs. We settled in their party hall, which was still under construction but nearly complete, and Sardar Ji treated us to delicious tea as if we were VIP guests rather than just customers. Later, I also purchased some groceries for our house, as we were heading home after the weekend trip. We felt so much warmth from the respectful hospitality of this gentleman, who shared stories about the tough times they endured both personally and professionally. I sincerely urge everyone to give them a chance to recover and succeed as a local business in your area. May God bless him and his family with health and prosperity. I will definitely return many times if blessed with the opportunity!

This store offers a great selection. I just wish they had lamb options available in the fridge.
