Mila's Cafe - Upper Darby

Update: I tried to order again through Grubhub, but the driver arrived at the restaurant only to find it closed after waiting for 20 minutes. I am officially done with this place.

I think the previous reviews have created too much hype about this place for me. I wasn't particularly impressed during my visit. The customer service was excellent; when I placed my order over the phone, the girl who took my order was kind enough to call me when it was ready for pickup. I ordered the bun and waffle, but instead of the wings shown in all the other photos, I received chicken tenders. They didn’t seem seasoned for pairing with the waffle. I’m not sure if this makes sense, but the chicken tasted like it belonged with spaghetti or fries, as if there was an Italian twist to the seasoning on the waffle. The bacon was acceptable, but it was literally a dollar per piece. I might return if there’s nothing else that catches my eye, but it was just okay. It definitely didn’t live up to the hype from all the reviews. My perception would have been different had I not gone in with such high expectations.

Where should I start? I was at upper darby hs this morning and made one please and decided to see what yelp recommended near me. there were the usual panzers and Libbys....Sabrina's....Kettle....etc, but I'm a common guy in nature and wanted to root back into my corner, neighboring diner. all these chic places that started me to speak with a main line accented when I grew up in new castle. this place showed itself, and although there were not many reviews, they were all excellent and I looked at the photos, that was the mood I was looking for. migrated and was greeted by patty and marla. within 5 minutes they felt like a normal one when I had never been there. I ordered a cup of coffee while I checked out the menu. I would never have expected such a big cup of coffee from a corner. it was worthy of la colombe. I decided to have the 2xl ice mixed grill. that is included. this. two rührei, I have added cheese, I have added pfeffer and tweepers, two slices thicker crumbs, two pieces sausage, two slices sink and one piece scraped and toast on the side. all that. only 11,95 while I have eaten this hearty, delicious, in walks of the owner jason. the young makes the damn thing. owns this diner and the mechanic shop over the street. very personal. so many of our young black men are out there, making so positive things and they don't hear about it. I'm telling you this. I live 40 minutes from here, but I'm going to support and promise my ass in one of these chairs at least once a month.

I just order takeout from here for the first time. I got the french toast with bacon, and a side of home fries. When i mean everything was amazing, i mean it! The food was some of the best breakfast i've had in a long time. The staff was so nice when i walked in to get the food, and they even gave me a free orange juice! It's a small local place, that looks cozy, and has great food. I will definitely be coming back again, and also recommending to everyone i know!
