Upon our arrival, the staff warmly welcomed us as they confirmed our reservation, and we were seated immediately. They provided us with a menu showcasing the different types of teas available. Each guest can choose two teas—one to accompany the meal and another for dessert. We selected the Lady Rose for our lunch and the Belgian Chocolate for dessert, which was my favorite due to its subtle, complex chocolate notes that are hard to describe. When our meal was served, the staff carefully described each charming little sandwich on our plates, but honestly, I don't remember the details—just that everything was delicious (see pictures!). Don’t expect a large meal; the sandwiches and desserts are small and adorable. However, you'll leave feeling satisfied. Plus, you can enjoy as much tea as you like. The dining area is cozy, which allows for a friendly atmosphere where you might get to chat with other guests. I found the setting quite whimsical, adorned with antique tea cups everywhere. The cost was $30 per person, not including any tip you wish to leave. I would definitely return and highly recommend the Painted Tea Cup to others.
This restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the high tea experience is outstanding. Their attention to detail is remarkable, even extending to the finger sandwiches, which are served with the crusts removed. It's a wonderful spot for a date or to reconnect with friends.
This place is incredible! As a big fan of afternoon tea, I had a wonderful experience at the Painted Tea Cup. I visited for a bachelorette event, and we were seated in a private room that fit 15-20 people perfectly. It really felt like having afternoon tea at someone's home. The decor was charming and cozy, and even the bathroom matched the theme. The selection of teas was excellent, and the food was delightful as well. They provided detailed explanations of the menu and accommodated our dietary restrictions. There's a parking lot connected to the building, plus plenty of street parking available nearby.
Lovely tea room! The selections are always unique and flavorful. The chicken salad croissant is the absolute best. Their tea menu is absolutely massive, and there is truly something for everyone! The only thing that would make high tea better would be a soup, salad, or quiche option. But overall, a wonderful experience!
I came here for a private party for my aunt's baby shower and we were treated so well! We got an entire room sectioned off for ourselves and there was a beautiful long table set up with our individual meals and various tea cups. Because we booked as a large party, we could only try 2 of the teas. I wish we had the option to try more of them, or I wish there were more decaffeinated options. The food was amazing but because it was already pre-plated, I could only try one of each item that came on the plate. I wish they came out in those tiered platters so I could pick and choose what I liked! Since the veggie and meat options were different, there were some items that the vegetarians had that I wish I could have tried. Regardless, the food was very tasty and had a large variety on the plate! I thought I wouldn't be full after eating but I was pleasantly surprised at the portions. They were very filling. I would recommend this place for the hospitality but not for the freedom to choose what you want.
