Deciding on a cake was a tough choice, as they all looked tempting, but I ultimately went with a chocolate brownie. Choosing a drink was even harder due to the impressive array of options available: coffee, ice cream, milkshakes, fruit smoothies, hot chocolate, cold bottled drinks, and juice boxes—I'm sure I missed a few! In the end, I paired my brownie with a flat white. The coffee was exceptional, and it's clear that the staff really know their craft. Unlike many large chain coffee shops, these gentlemen and ladies truly care about service and the quality of their coffee.
What a lovely place! The atmosphere is charming, and the coffee is fantastic. The staff truly know their stuff. I also enjoyed breakfast, where everything is freshly prepared; you simply can't go wrong with their speck sandwich. I spent most of the morning there, indulging in a slice of cake and relaxing in the garden. It was so delightful, and there’s a great selection of cakes and sweet treats to pick from.
Garden seating, good eating and amazing coffee! always a winner in this shop, recently visited when visiting rutland water and its decorated and the name has been changed since the last time I came. it has become even better, the menu has some great new items, sweet toasties! delicious! the weather was fantastic to enjoy the beautiful garden. the new breakfast menu starts the week after I go home, but next time I visit the eggs benedict better watch, I come for you!
I love this place! Only place with a GARDEN in Uppingham not looking at a car park. The staff are friendly and the coffee is delicious, and the FOOD! I could eat here all week, the Chilli with nachos is my favourite but there's always room the great cakes, and maybe a milkshake. Beats any Starbucks, Nero or Costa for service and most importantly quality.
I've recently heard about a Costa opening in the city, which I find rather disappointing, especially since the high street is filled with independent shops, restaurants, and pubs. Javawocky is far superior to any chain like Costa, offering much higher quality coffee. Next summer, I'll be returning to Javawocky instead of Costa to enjoy the local independent atmosphere, expansive food options, and hopefully, some beautiful weather in the garden!
