Bayside Diner - Urangan

We ordered drinks and picked up a menu, which stated open till late. At 8:55 i went to the bar to order food and was told theyvwere not serving anymore. So we as we finished our drinks about 20 minutes later the waiter came out with meals for the table behind us. It smelt great so we decided to try again the next night. Ordering garlic bread starters, 3 steaks and a childs meal. The steaks came out and were revolting. My 'well done' steak which i requested was raw - see photo! The others were fat and grissly. We had ate the rest - chips, salads etc all whilst the waiters cleaned uo and stacked chairs on every tavle next to us as we ate! Anyway we finished up and our starter had still not came. My husband had to get up and ask and was told they had forgotton about it and did we want it still. We did as the meals were so bad we were all still hungry. After another 20 minutes of waiting i told them it didnt matter and to just refund me.

We decided to try the Bayside Diner for dinner on our recent visit to Hervey Bay after reading a few reviews. It was quite busy when we arrived, but the lady working by herself still managed to get our food cooked in good time. Our meals were divine! And still can't get over how inexpensive they were!! Definitely recommend the Bayside Diner not only for their awesome prices and tasty food, but also for the great service we received.

We dined at this restaurant twice, and both times the food was excellent. We had no complaints. I ordered the Thai beef salad, which was delicious. My husband tried the fish and chips and enjoyed it. Our daughter had the kids' chicken and chips, which was a generous portion. Despite being busy, our food arrived quickly.

After reading positive reviews, we decided to try this takeout restaurant three times. Unfortunately, we were highly disappointed. The potato scallops were undercooked and mushy, and the fish was greasy. It seemed like the fish had been frozen and not properly drained before being battered and cooked, resulting in a soggy and unpleasant texture.

Friendly Service from happy staff, Good food and an excellent price. Good operating hours. The hamburgers are delicious.
