Contribuisci feedbackOn our second night in Hervey Bay, we decided to try out our first Italian restaurant and were very disappointed. We were initially drawn in by a billboard advertising "free beer," but once inside, we were met with slow service and unfulfilled promises. Despite being seated early in the evening, it took multiple attempts to place our drinks order and even longer to receive our food. After nearly two hours of waiting, we still hadn't received our pizzas and decided to leave. The manager assured us the pizzas would be ready in a few minutes, but even after another 15-20 minutes, they still hadn't arrived. We were told they had been given to another table by mistake and were being prepared again. This long wait for just a couple of entrees and pizzas left us feeling frustrated and hungry. We would have asked for a refund if we weren't so desperate for food. This experience was a letdown, and we hope the restaurant takes this feedback onboard to improve their service for future customers.
Service: Waiting 20 minutes for a glass of wine is unacceptable, especially after waiting another 20 minutes to even place the order. The entrees and mains took a long time to arrive, and when they did, I was given a spoon but no fork for my spaghetti. Additionally, when we ordered a second glass of wine, it was forgotten about until we paid the bill. The waitress apologized, citing that it was a busy night, but with only 4 tables occupied, I do not consider that to be busy. Food: The oysters were decent, but the mains were incredibly disappointing. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese, which was supposed to have "beef ragu", but it was just cheap mince and pasta. My partner ordered the "pizza of the week", which was advertised as a slow-cooked pork leg, caramelized onion, and pumpkin pizza. Unfortunately, the pork was dry and of poor quality, the caramelized onion was barely noticeable, and the base was soggy and undercooked. Overall, this was a terrible experience to end our holiday in Hervey Bay. I hope that this feedback is taken as constructive criticism, rather than being met with hostility. Good luck, but for now, I will be avoiding this restaurant.
There seemed to be a lot of people inside which is normally a good sign but it was a big family party. No BYO wine so only a glass each of house red which was overpriced but drinkable. We shared a large Queenslander pizza which was $20.00 & for a sit down meal was all that we wanted & enjoyable. Not a place to rave about but OK for a quick sit down feed. Will we go back? Probably but only because it is close to where we are staying.
My partner had pizza which he said was undercooked and very plain. I had a "sundried tomato" pasta which had no sundried tomatoes, only cherry tomotoes. When I asked about this the waitress was nice and offered a 50% discount for the mistake which was good but over all our meals took an hour to come out and food was very average
Family and I walked here as close to Hotel, enjoyed our Pizza's and Pasta dishes, great place for families, lovely atmosphere.
