If you have interest in East Asian/Southeast Asian/South Asian cuisine, Burmese food has components of all of them! The menu is extensive, everything I tried was excellent and I can't wait to go back to try more!
Our son recommended dinner here. From months in Thailand he said this is “authentic Burmese food”. Everything was incredible from the menu to the food and service. Highly recommend!
Despite the obvious fake reviews, I really enjoyed this restaurant. We were passing through Des Moines and gambled on this place. Everyone in my party enjoyed their dishes. I had a the soup with coconut milk and fried tofu, which surprised me with how great it was. I will order that again. I also tried the tapioca with sliced bread (Shin Yin Aye) because it sounded authentic and adventurous. It was great as well. I’ll visit again when I pass through. They also serve the usual Asian dishes. So you can be adventurous or play it safe. I was adventurous and it payed off.
Time for you to experience the best cuisine in the world? Burmese is like no other. Closer to Vietnamese or Thai. Unique. I drove 2+ hours to have lunch. Not disappointed! The fresh limeade is a must. This time had the Coconut soup with Balachong (shrimp paste). The service was perfect and welcoming! Not fancy but 10/10 on the food. Having been raised with home cooked Burmese, this place is authentic. Will return soon to try other dishes and will order it spicy as most dishes are very mild. Always hard to try something new but you will be pleasantly surprised and will be addicted!!! Trevor
Very friendly service, super clean, and food was yummy and homey. We will be back!
