The Beerhouse - Urbandale

Outstanding service! Brody, the bartender, is fantastic and remembers your usual order after just a few visits. My team and I are excited to go to Trivia Spot on Tuesday!

This was my first visit, and overall, the food was excellent! I tried an appetizer and the Crab Rangoon Burger, both of which were delicious. However, the setup was quite different from what I expected. If I had known how it worked, it would have been a better experience. You have to place your order on your phone, get your own condiments and utensils, and take care of your own trash. There was no one to greet us when we arrived, so if you're not aware of this in advance, it can be a bit confusing.

The food is 5 stars, very good pizza and nachos. I actually liked the ordering system, ordering beers and foods as you need them without waiting for a server to come by, and articles were delivered immediately. Self-service for plates, napkins, etc. is no problem, I would still type 15% due to a fast service and everyone was clearly working hard. Unfortunately because of the 3.5% credit card fee I decided to pay cash and had only enough for a 10% top.

Absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was amazing, and the food and drinks were delicious. I really appreciated the convenience of ordering from my phone and the option to serve myself—such a time-saver! I just wish there were more locations. I will definitely be back!

As travelers passing through the area, we chose The Beerhouse for its proximity to our hotel, and because the menu selections looked good. We weren't prepared for the nearly contactless service, though. As 1st-time customers, using a QR code and scrolling and scrolling, and scrolling to read the menu made ordering difficult. The food arrived promptly and was good, but no one ever asked if we needed anything. Everything was dependent on the digital menu. It seemed like the only way to get a question answered was to go to the bar. If I lived in the area, I'm not sure I would return.
