The dining room is small and simple, yet quite pleasant. The tenants are warm and friendly. As starter the mixed salad was fresh and well-seasoned. As main course the house specialty is Cordon Bleu in seemingly endless combinations: 18 (!) possibilities and you can even choose whether you want pork, veal or chicken.I opted for the "Engel Cordon Bleu" - with pork, Urnäsch local cheese, and Appenzeller air-dried beef: delicious. Along with the French fries, the tenant also brought her homemade mayonnaise - well, it was really to die for!Prices remain quite low for Swiss standards. Including soda and coffee, the bill amounted to CHF45.Beware that the restaurant does not accept any credit cards, only cash.
