La Casa de la Abuela - Urubamba

Good small place with cozy feeling and cute terrace. The menu is varied so that it can easily provide a mixture of taste. Eating is good. Great location only the main square (left of the cathedral) and close to the market.

Cosy place with great food, the portions are generous and the service is really good. Feel at home.

We came to La Casa de la Abuela to have a lunch in a quiet day. The place is very close, cca 1 minute walk form the Plaza of Armas, so the location is excellent. At the moment we came to the restaurant... we knew there was something different. The atmosphere remains a little at the old times and all details are really good and carefully made. The owner is very welcoming and it came up that her partner is an artist a wood carving. Claro, this is one of the secrets of this place. The second is the tone oven : We both asked a muna (Ande Minze Tee (3 Soles and we got a whole jug with two ceramic cups. This is not so common, so we were so grateful! We also tasted the Tacos (15 Soles and the Burritos (15 Soles were both very well prepared and very tasty. We loved the Tortillas and the Nachos were made at home! After this enjoyment we decided to ask a pizza only a vegetarian (depending on size 14/23/34 Soles . How good this decision was! They bake their pizzas in the tone oven and also the base is made at home and it is full of beautiful vegetables that are on it in accordance with the spices. On the menu we saw that they also have raw cakes. Is it possible that these are those we know? We've been here for a while, but we haven't seen them in Peru at all... Okay, why not? Try it! So we asked a Purple Chocolate Mousse raw cake (6 Soles and we made a good decision. It had a great price and was amazingly delicious. And they are gluten-free lactose: Thank you.

El restaurante La casa de la abuela está muy cerca de la plaza, el lugar es muy acogedor y la carta es muy variada, se puede comer menú vegetariano, pastas carne, pizzas. Nos ha encantado. Volveremos.
