Nag's Head Pub - USK

Mmmmmmm their rabbit pie! Haven't been there in far too long, your review reminded me of how good their food is. There is a car park in Usk (not sure if it's signposted though). It doesn't take long to walk to the Nags head OR any of the other establishments from there. Parking in the square is always a trifle iffy. Well worth a repeat visit. Thanks for the reminder!

Vsiited the Nag's Head with my wife on Sunday, August 15 early evening. We received a friendly welcome and ordered the steak pie and the rabbit pie. To be fair, the pies were fine but the pastry crust and vegetables had been microwaved to a state of near-destruction. Pastry was chewy and the poor carrots were limp and tasteless. To make matter worse, the saute potatoes served on the side were obviously deep fried and unpleasant. It was a great shame because the meal was ruined for the sake of 50 pence worth of vegetables not being cooked properly. It is such a lovely setting but we will not eat there again.

Absolutely great pub. Great service, great food, great value. Well worth a visit!
