Contribuisci feedbackWe took piquillos / peppers stuffed with cod and grilled chipirones (baby squids); both were very tasty and well served for a starter.Second course was the he parillada (assortment) of fish and seashell, and I was a little bit disappointed as regard the variety of seashells, but anyway, it was good but not so varied.Anyway, the food was good, the atmosphere was simple and friendly; it was a nice evening in Ustaritz!Do not hesitate to book in advance, because it quickly fills up at 8 pm!
No set menu de jour, but a very good choçce throughout the menu. Reasonably priced and excellent quality
I was invited by my French friend who's been to this restaurant a few times and have raved about the food.Do not let the look of the restaurant from the outside deceive you. The moment you go in, you are greeted by very friendly staff, most specially Valerie.Not only is Valerie warm and attentive, she is also incredibly funny, and she looks likeJulia Louis DreyfusWe ordered 2 starters. A baby squid cooked in olive oil garlic and parsley...Its one of the bestsquid I've over had. The other starter..i don't remember the name was just as good...we finishedboth starters completely and was literally begging for more.For the main course, we had the tuna skewer with scallop, etc, and also the cod fish.The portions are generously large. The dishes are served with an assortment of fresh produce,and the sauces are absolutely exquisite, you think you're dining in a Michelin starred restaurant.The taste of the food is really mind blowing.Even the dessert was heaven.From the entrée to the dessert...everything was excellent.Just as we were leaving, we had a good chat with the owner / chef Pelot...He's really funny,and very passionate. This has been one of the best meals I've had in my life, and I would definitely recommend this place.
Very good cuisine. We tasted 3 different menues, all fantastic!!! You have to try it. And the service is very helpful and nice.
