The food was very artistic to look at but wasnt a poncy little portion, it was great looking, great tasting quality food. we had the Lamb Rump and the Pear crumble. Cant wait to go back again. thank you Richard and staff, Compliments to the Chef
Definitely for foodies. Very good main course, good wine selection. Service was very very slow and mediocre at best. Dessert was not homemade- ordered a brownie with strawberries and ice cream- I got a 1/2"thick processed brownie (cold) with no strawberries. If not for the incredible main, I wouldnt otherwise recommend it. I am hooing it was just an off night for the staff, as our dinner took over 2 hours!
Disappointed as we were not expected, a hastily written menu obviously from the freezer. No real apology. Much better 30"years ago.
My family and myself attended for my Nan's birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Staff were very accomodating and friendly.
I booked this for my mums birthday, she is gluten free. Mum was very impressed with the selection of afternoon tea in the gluten free. Mum had the same as I had but all in gluten free. Couldn't fault it at all. I would definitely recommend hallingbury mill and will be back when it's a bit warmer to people and boat watch.
