Husband and wife team running the pub, I ordered a sirloin steak and my mate grabbed the classic schnitzel burger. My steak was cooked to perfection and it was just the right size, done medium. This is a stunning little pub that you must drop in and see, the atmosphere here would be amazing on a busy afternoon after a few beers and a good feed. I'm looking forward to dropping in a lot more often on our adventures north of Newcastle.
We ate here two nights in a row whilst on holiday In the context of a country pub it hits the mark. Bistro food included a good variety of meals. All were delicious. The staff were very polite and helpful. We had two dogs on a rainy evening. They allowed us to eat in the covered enclosed billiard area just behind the bistro. Don’t be fooled by the appearance of weather board and gravel car park. This is a wonderful venue to have a meal and drinks. There was an obvious sense of community in the atmosphere.
