I ordered duck leg confit with forest sauce and added a $4 charge for pepper sauce, but instead, I received duck breast—small and submerged in a mountain of rice that was too dry to eat. When I asked to change my dish, I was served two tasteless duck legs, an inedible pepper sauce, and a forest sauce that lacked mushrooms. Everything was bland and likely industrial; nothing was well-seasoned, there was no precision in the execution of the dishes, and the service was poor. To make matters worse, when we inquired about the composition of the dishes, the server seemed to take offense, as if the confusion was our fault. When the time came to clear our still-full plates, the waitress spilled sauce all over the table and narrowly missed my partner. There was no acknowledgment—no apology, no "oops, are you okay?"—just complete disdain. Normally, we would have chosen a restaurant chain for dinner, and that would have been the better option. So, to be clear, I do not recommend this establishment! There are definitely more welcoming places to try nearby.
For a long time, I enjoyed this restaurant, but recently, there has been a significant decline in quality. I got food poisoning from the scallops; I've never vomited so much in my life. What’s really disappointing is that no one bothered to reach out to me after I lodged my complaint. I can no longer recommend this restaurant—I'm way too scared of getting sick again.
Excellent soups in Val d'Or! I was happy to be somewhere other than a restaurant chain. Suzanne, with 33 years of experience, and her colleague provided us with a wonderful evening. The portions were generous, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Thank you!
An outstanding dining! Thank you!
Déçu de notre expérience. Patates et légumes sans assaisonnement. Un service poli.
