The chef makes them right out in the main room where you can watch as you dine. The proprietress can seem a bit brusque at first (a common experience in Quebec), but she was then warm and friendly, asking us how we all knew each other and where we were from, and then proceeded to tell us some really funny stories. It was a great meal and a delightful experience. If we go back to the area we will definitely eat there again.
The food is outstanding at this quaint Quebec crêperie. The salad, onion, soup, and crêpes were phenomenal. The owner is extremely cordial and cares a lot about her customer satisfaction.
Don't listen to all these bad reviews. I went with my family looking for crepes, at first the staff looked busy and most tables were reserved but she quickly cleaned up a table for us giving us a nice table of 4. Coffee came within 1 minute or less of asking. Maple syrup readily available now. It seems they really look at the bad reviews and try their best to fix it. The waitress was very friendly, funny and helpful. She was so sweet without making it look like she wanted tips. She genuinely tried making our meal perfect and without making it look like she is doing it just for the tips. The chef was nice he came out to say hello to the people eating. The food is mostly cooked right infront of you so you can watch them make your crepes. They fully cook both sides and make it with care. Not how these other reviews describe it. Food came fast and the French onion soup was amazing, high quality and very tasty. Prices have gone up 1$ probably due to inflation but that is nothing compared to other places. We are staying in Mont Tremblant and the crepe place in the town there was 25$ a crepe no matter which one u got. Here we got a fully decked out crepe for 15-18$. The waitress is an older lady, reminded me of my grandmother very sweet and willing to give anything for the sake of the customers satisfaction, i can prove that point because my father was looking at the coffee pot that our coffee came in and he said it's a nice one and he needed one of them. The waitress then insisted she give it to us when we are done eating. She cleaned it up and wrapped it in a bag for us! She said she broke her bigger one last week and this small one was all she had but she had another one coming from amazon so she insisted we take this one!
Maryse Bizouarn's crepe are still being made here in the old way, 60 years after this Breton crepe maker first arrived in Québec...
Incredible. Everything in this place is amazing. I highly recommend if you're in the area. The onion soup, salad and crepe make for an incredible meal.
