However, we were pleased to find that they served homemade skin-on chips just like our mum used to make. Sadly, the restaurant was not as busy as it could have been due to the current restrictions. We recommend supporting your local pub as well.
Very nice little pub in a quite village. The food was outstanding. Very good entertainment with two men pressing something they called #BoogieBingoLive. Great night.
I am giving this restaurant a 5-star review because they are dedicated to keeping customers satisfied and have the potential to become a hidden gem. The owner, Dan, is aware of the necessary improvements and has a positive attitude and exciting plans for the future of the pub. The overnight stay was comfortable and great value. The bed was comfortable, the room was cozy, and the breakfast was delicious. The atmosphere was very welcoming, even the locals were friendly. I will definitely stay again when I am in the area.
Friendly landlord, great meal and plenty of it. The food could not be faulted especially if you like rare beef which we do. The prices are the best I have seen, well worth a visit and will definitely go to the valentine's evening on the 14/02/23.
Reasonably large pub, nice food, welcoming and friendly, decent range of beers. Comfy chairs and a wood burning stove. What's not to like! Had a few beers Saturday night then returned Sunday lunch for a tasty roast.
