The Loose Moose Pub - Valemount

Pleasant atmosphere for lunch or dinner. Very close to highway if you are just passing by. They have a wide variety of food on the menu. But it seems like mostly it is commercially prepared dishes. The Crab-stuffed Salmon was good but did not seem made on site.They need to learn that black pepper is not one of the basic food groups. My wife is allergic to pepper and the only thing they could server her was a steak and green salad. Although an allergy to pepper seems rare, more people are finding all the time that they have it. And many people have it but do not realize the cause of their “undetected ulcer”. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to cook without pepper.Anyway, a reasonable dinner at a reasonable price. BTW, TripAdvisor calls this “The Loose Moose” but the sign just calls it “The Moose”.

Right next to our motel! We wound up eating there twice on this trip, first night of the roadtrip, and the last. First time we had the halibut bites. Good, but not spectacular. Fries quite good. Second time I had the calamari, loved it!

Stopped over in Valemount and found this cosy place! Best meal id had for a fair few days in Canada! Top notch food and friendly service! Topped off with a few games of pool! Highly recommended!

My husband had the special. It was butter chicken meal, he rated it 9/10; which was fabulous. I had the southern fried chicken special which was very tastey. This place opens at 4:30 daily. Very good chef. Amazing for a pub! Thanks. Always have the moose loose coffee very tastey.

You get what you pay for, food is good service slow and no kids allowed inside we had to get a take out and close to our hotel
