Valemount Swiss Bakery

This is exactly what we look for in small towns when we travel! Good homemade food, excellent baking, and a nice covered porch to visit with your new local friends...what a great town! Nice treat as you come off the bike park trails! My only ask would be to see some whole wheat options on the treat side, not just in the yummy breads!

It is a difficult decision what to have at the Swiss bakery as everything looks and smells so good. Our croissants and pastries were fresh. Wish we had more time to try everything on the menu.

Best bread, pastries, meat rolls, salmon rolls. They do serve breakfast & lunch, but I like the rolls and pastries. Baked fresh daily and nothing gets wasted as they sell out quickly every day. Come early and bring cash as that is all they take.

This is a nice place to get a sandwich and dessert. There are table outside or you can walk across the street and sit at the tables provided by the town.

First a small warning. This place is cash-only. But the prices are good so you don't need a lot of cash.We came for breakfast the day we were leaving town. Should have tried it the first morning so we could have come back again. You place your order at the counter then they bring it to your table. Some indoor tables but more covered outdoor tables.We had the scrambled eggs that have bacon, tomatoes, peppers, onions, etc. chopped up in them. Absolutely great. They come with slabs of their excellent homemade bread and the jam also seems to be homemade. Delightful breakfast.It is a bakery so they also sell bread, pastries, etc. to go. They do not use preservatives so eat the pastries the day you buy them.
