Contribuisci feedbackI was drawn in by the advertised fried sole and stir-fry on their “specials” display. After being served a drink I was told that the dish was unavailable. I substituted duck with bamboo and mushrooms and picked a Vietnamese spring roll for an appetizer along with white rice with the main. The spring roll was nothing like anything I ever ate in Vietnam. It was a bland tamale-like roll which could have benefited from some spicy Mexican salsa. To its credit, it was piping hot. The duck was probably left-over, almost blackened and far from tender. It and the vegetables were swimming in oil graced with a little soy sauce (I hope). The rice was execrable! It was obviously micro-waved, dry and hard-the way a proper socarrat should be on a paella. The beer was cold, a sole redeeming aspect of the meal.
Surprisingly Great taste and value restaurant. Excellent roasted Duck. Spare rib salt and pepper is so yummy.
This is a real Chinese restaurant, not so adapted for European flavours, which is good, I recommend the Sichuan dishes here, mapo tofu, huiguorou, cucumber salad. Good value to compare to UK prices
