Jauja - Valencia

Away from the touristy old city and tucked away in the residential district is this restaurant that serves up authentic Spanish fare. The starters (e.g. croquettes, bread, aioli) is good but the paella is only passable lacking the depth of flavour from a proper broth and the crusty bits you’d expect at the bottom of a real Valencian paella

Great food at reasonable prices. The atmosphere both inside and out on the terrace is very pleasant.

We were really looking forward to have some nice paella for dinner here, because of the good reviews. We made the reservation and everything was going well; however when we got there and were already sitting at the table, the waitress told us that paella and rice dishes are only served during the day. Although the servers were very nice and friendly and the other dishes were ok, we were quite disappointed because they never warned us about it.

Rich and cozy place. I don't put stars because the deal at first wasn't very nice, but the dishes were fine, especially the salad and the dessert (oreotart.)

Very good rice and incoming, the very good cheese cake.
