We've had truly authentic pizzas in other places and for less (yes, in Valencia). However, the pizza itself isn't bad, it's just a Spanish interpretation of how an Italian pizza should be like. 2 stars as the pizza didn't even have the quintessential oregano on it or ANY other type of spice, it was very very bland. Buying a Casa Taradellas pizza for 2.5 euros in Consum next door and after 5 minutes in the oven I already have a tastier and way cheaper pizza than this. Won't return.
Found this place one rainy, dark Tuesday night tucked away down a side street. It was very close to where i was staying, the next street, i had only just arrived in Valencia and so i just wanted something to eat, an this place did not disappoint. I ordered a Margherita Pizza and asked if i could have Onions added to it, to which they obliged. I was charged an extra 1 Euro, but that was fine as even at 9 euro 50 it was worth it. The pizza was lovely. It was not busy in there as i was the only one eating inside, there was one person sitting outside in the rain as there is an outside dining area of a few tables and chairs. Service was good too.
The first time we went to Da Saro was booked on The Fork. The owner is friendly and the food was good. It was round the corner from our apartment so we went back
