Lots of new construction and eateries but the quality of food hasn’t change a bit. A must try is the callos soup, duck with foie gras and of course ask for their local whites, its amazingly yum
Sometimes you make that snap decision to eat somewhere that at a glance looks nice but you should have known better. We'd just found the place we wanted to eat at was fully booked so we made a snap decision. The long menu, printed rather than written on a board (which generally suggests fresh ingredients and a chef who cares). The food was OK, but no better (salmorejo, salad, steak, fish). Service was perfunctory. It felt like a tourist restaurant in a city that tends to cater for its local population. Ah well live and learn. But don't make our mistake. Spend another 5 or 10 minutes looking for something better.
This is one of a number of restaurants in this street, and all have tables inside and outside in the street. They all do a 'menu de dia ' at lunchtime, but on Sundays the price increases slightly to around €20 per person (three courses including wine). On Sundays lots of restaurants do not open for lunch, so it is easy to get caught out if you are not careful. Like a lot of places in this area, the restaurants are empty until 2pm, but then fill up incredibly rapidly and you are unlikely to get a space until 3.30 or so. Food was good (a huge pile of excellently grilled lamb chops) and the bottle of wine that was included for the two of us was very drinkable.

He ido varias veces a comer y siempre nos atienden estupendamente. El servicio muy bien, son amables y están pendientes por si necesitas algo. Hay bastante variedad de platos para pedir a la carta y tienen un menú con muchas opciones que está fenomenal, mis platos preferidos son la ensalada templada de codorniz, el arroz negro, las carrilleras, los chipriotas a la plancha,...para mí todo está muy bueno.
