The best fish ever. Lovely owners. Good value . Would definitely come back here again. We had tuna and linguini, would recommend both
Have visited a few times (and reviewed) before overall think this place deserves an average rating (having previously said good) but our latest visit was undoubtedly poor and we won 't be returning as a result. Prior to this visit the staff had always been...very pleasant, the food ok and decent value. The most recent visits concerns centred around a disappointing steak first of all there was no pepper in the 'au poivre ' sauce, which was rectified but somewhat ungraciously but the steak itself (entrecote) was around 50% fat which we chose not to eat. So far, disappointing but not a big issue (we find steak, esp if not top price, is often disappointing in the area). But the reaction to the left food was odd and, increasingly, somewhat disconcerting. Firstly, a waiter looked at the leftovers and asked seeming concerned if all had been ok. We explained that what we left was fat and we didn 't wish to eat it. After our plates were removed another member of staff approached to ask what the problem was we just said that we 'd not eaten all of our steak as there was a lot of fat on it. A few minutes later she returned brandishing two uncooked steaks on a plate saying that she had checked with chef, that our steaks had been the same and that there is always some fat in entrecote. These steaks looked good and had far less fat in than those we 'd been served (as well as being twice as thick) we shrugged and said that ours had had more fat in them. She disputed the possibility of this and said, again, that entrecote is always fatty. By this stage we were starting to feel uncomfortable we hadn 't complained (merely responded to a question of concern) but we were now being challenged as to why we hadn 't eaten a disappointing meal, questioned as to our knowledge of what to expect from an entrecote and generally treated as if we were in the wrong. This was not helped on paying the bill when the waitress returned, presumably trying to smooth things over, to say that she hoped we 'd return, that they want to keep customers happy etc and that they wouldn 't ever serve a steak that wasn 't good. On reflection, I wonder if they thought we were after a free meal (even though we hadn 't initiated any complaint) and perhaps there was some confusion between the staff as to our disatisfaction but the bottom line is that the food was poor, the response to this weird, unhelpful and borderline unpleasant, and the opportunity not taken to make any sort of gesture to back up the protestations of their goodwill.
Most unbeatable meals we have on last Sunday lunch .Unfortunately our favourite restaurant dagigi were closed finde this restaurant busy and orther blancat de vue and molle frites just rubbish mixed rice and bit of meat no test no flavor like pour out of blanket called such shame
This is a really bad place. Food is bland. The Saint Pierre au Provençal was slimy fish on a pizza sauce. No service worth talking about. Even though I live nearby I get the feeling they survive on tourist 'bait' Avoid , it's rubbish
