House of Soul - Vallejo

Portions were larger than expected for the price. The short ribs were tender and flavorful. I ordered the potato salad and Mac and cheese and both tasted good. Only 4 stars because the corn bread was very dry, almost inedible. That said, ill definitely be ordering from House of Soul again!

I have never had gravy that taste so good! Best soul food in Cali! Pork Chops Fried where delicious and the greens OMG! Grandma greens!

My short ribs were tender and the gravy was so delicious... Black eyed peas are perfect... Candied yams are firm and sweet...and the greens are very flavorful...
