Young's Ice Creamery - Valley Park

Three of us went here specifically to get ice cream. I got a concrete, it was fine my complaint would be that it only filled the cup 3/4 full. Another person ordered a regular cone and they said it was a typical cone. The third person got a dip cone, the chocolate coating was so thin you could still see the ice cream underneath it, they could not taste the chocolate like other store dip cones. Prices for these items were higher than what we pay at other shops. Probably wont go back, but it had a nice vintage atmosphere. Please like the review so I know if this helped someone.

Food was very good. We got the fried chicken, fries, potato salad and green beans. Chicken was fried perfectly hot, crisply and juicy. Service was okay not super friendly or super helpful. We’d never been there before so we weren’t sure what to do seat ourselves/wait, how to order, etc. No one really offered to help, but they answered my questions when I asked. Our food (3 of us) took 25 minutes to arrive, and it wasn’t super busy when we arrived. That being said, they had a large group ahead of us so we assumed that was the issue. It seemed like most people got their orders in a more reasonable amount of time. We will definitely give them another try.

Food is pretty good, but very Midwest. Good bordering on great burgers, decent fried chicken. Everything seems sweetened, even things like potato salad. We'll be back.

Down home family oriented eatery with great comfort food and fair prices. Service with a smile and very friendly. Will go there again.

This place is amazing! The staff, food, and atmosphere make this place stand out. I ordered an amazing burger, fries, and a side by side cone and everything came out perfect. I will definitely be coming back.
