Dairy Queen Grill Chill - Valleyview

I visited the restaurant on June 16, 2022, around 8:10 PM, and I just wanted to order chicken strips without fries and a Blizzard. The young man at the register, who had short dark hair, was incredibly helpful and an outstanding person. He was very friendly and truly understood the essence of good customer service. He definitely deserves some recognition for his efforts. The receipt indicates the name Darren T, but I didn't catch his name while I was there.

I had an exceptional experience with the customer service at this restaurant. While traveling, I needed an ice cream cake and had brought a cooler, but it wasn't big enough. The staff went above and beyond, carefully packing the cake in ice to ensure it made the 1.5-hour journey to a little girl's first birthday celebration.

I used to love coming here, but lately, the service has been disappointing. Today, one of the staff members was incredibly rude and messed up our order. When we pointed out the mistake, she flat out said no to our request for the correct items. Eventually, she had someone else come to fix her error, but not before giving us a very angry glare. I've worked in customer service in the past, and while I understand that some customers can be difficult, we approached the situation kindly because we know mistakes happen. Good service and respect go a long way in this line of work. To top it off, when we left, not everything we ordered was in the bag, and we didn't want to make the trip back for it.

I was extremely disappointed with my visit. I arrived at 10:40 PM, and although they close at 11 PM, I was refused service for food from their menu. When I asked why, they told me, "We close in 20 minutes and the grills are already off." This made me wonder: 1) Why advertise that you're open when you're not really serving anything? 2) How fresh is the food they serve at night? Are they just using leftovers or expired items?
