Le Versailles Normand - Valognes

Another typical French restaurant that you find in the center of most towns...simple, good food at reasonable prices. Extra bonus that this one gave the option of vegetables instead of fries. Chocolate mousse for desert was excellent, and the staff were very patient with the kids ordering for us.

We headed to Valognes to find lunch after a disappointing stop in Sainte Mere Eglise. We entered this very informal restaurant with no expectations and ended up very happy. Simple but interesting food. My Normand style tartine was excellent and inexpensive.

I enjoyed myself with the salad of the moment but which, in my opinion, lacked a bit of salad, or then too much lardon, we arrived in the middle of service and installed on the terrace so a little wait for the order but not to the point of removing a star impeccable service, with an au-revoir of the little Oscar mascot when leaving the grimm of autumn is really very good, I made this place discover my fiancé who told me we'll be back for sure!

The fresh fruit salad with its strawberry ice ball was succulent!

Small stop for a little coffee. Very nice boss.
