Well, its only due to cocktails being quite high on the shiny penny scale. Food is priced well (an instance of getting what you paid for) but I don't plan on getting a liquor drink there again. I'd say ask the price before ordering. Beer was ice cold and priced well.
The Landing has been one of our top favorite restaurant in our area. We went today and had not been back for several months. We were informed that the previous owners had sold the business a few months ago but we were willing to give the new owners a try. The perigees were great as always but our meals were awful ! My burger was very dry and the onion rings which I paid extra for were way over fried. My husband had the July 4 chicken special and he could not eat it it was so dry. Tea was extremely weak and the lemonade did not even taste like lemonade I had to order a soda instead. We complained to the waitress and her answer was “I am so sorry” never even asking us if we wanted something else. We told her we would not be back and she again said I am so sorry we felt that way. She didn’t even offer to exchange the weak tea!! I just crossed this restaurant off my list of good food places. And by the way our bill was $48!!! I could have gone to Jesses in Brandon and would have had a much better meal for $48!
I would say the time of day and whether it's a weekend or holiday makes a huge difference in your experience. Today it was not too crowded and the outdoor seating was pretty quiet and the fan cools us off considerably. The server was attentive and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for food to arrive and my party of 4 loved their food. Fries were fresh as can be, big portions, and the Impossible burger was the best I've had so far in a restaurant.
From all the positive things I have heard about this place I was excited to check it out. So to start I had the wings because the waitress said they were known for them. Low and behold they were fantastic and cooked to perfect with right amount of sauce. The big fish plate was average. The shrimp I upgraded to were super salty (they were blackened) and the fish was super soggy from the breading and oil. The mac salad and cole slaw was average at best that came with it. I would go back to this place for the wings but wouldn’t get the fish platter again.
First time visit for me. Stuck with something simple, wings and fries and beer. Service was adequate. The place reminded me of Beef's when they first started out. The Nuclear Wings were spicy and not overpowering. Fries were were crispy and fluffy on the inside. And the beer was nice and cold. They have a great selection of domestics and imports. They also have wine. The place was packed when I went but there was plenty of seating. There's even outdoor seating. I noticed some games outside as well. Four stars for now. We'll see how it is next time for that last star. Definitely I would recommend this place.
