I have read mixed reviews about this place, but I have decided to try. I'm keeping this place home. People say they're too expensive, but I don't understand what they're talking about! I've got two welves that came with two sides each. It was great. I expected the Jambalaya rice to dry, but it wasn't dry at all. Even the carrots were good. The catfish fillets are huge and perfectly cooked. We paid $16 and some changes for two meals. I couldn't beat that. I saw negative reviews about their customer service. Honestly, the woman behind the counter was really nice. Leave the negative reviews you do not frighten! That could be the only good food in Vancleave. Hidden jewel. I am back

We stop here every time we go through town. I make it a point only to buy locally if I can. Every time we stop, we get some ice cream, food (which is delicious by the way) and boot our favorite Daiquiri cocktail. Here's a holder. The friendly staff lets us feel at home.
