Blue Martini Jazz Cafe - Vancouver

Delicious Main courses and very good service, but sadly the live music didn't have anything to do with Jazz and the dessert could have been fresher... perhaps a good location if there's good music on

Just popped in for a sun downer drink! After being seated, there was no sign of our server. When she finally arrived, she was very sharp (I just asked if I could have half a pint!). When we asked for the bill it took ages!!! We paid in cash yet she never returned with our change. When I asked for our change she replied that she thought we said to keep it! I told her that I would not be leaving any tip and in particular not a 25% tip for 2 drinks! She then proceeded to say to the next table "what's up with them'?" Avoid this place! It's not worth the hassle!

If you are in town on a Sunday be sure to catch Gabriel Mark Hasselbach and his band Fabulous cocktails and a great menu! The service was excellent as well!

We were curious to try this place, and a Groupon got us in the door. Really nice interior, with blue downlight on stone walls, and good sightlines to stage. We checked their event calendar and went for Tocque Flamenco, who performed fabulous guitar/drum/singing/flamenco dancing - felt as if we were in Spain again.The menu has a focus on New Orleans food, and is really extensive with tons of choice. Food was nicely presented on the plate, but quantities and flavours were inconsistent. It was good food, not great, and menu prices were on the high side (though not drink prices).We were told the Groupon had been 'upgraded' to an appetizer/entree/dessert per person, which was interesting because our Groupon had just said prix fixe menu (though there was no menu on Blue Martini's website). As a previous reviewer noted, we were automatically charged an 18% gratuity, though the Groupon didn't specify this and only said "gratuity not included". Clarity on their terms/conditions would be appreciated.Likely will return for drinks and a show. Tip: very limited street parking in the area, so park across Cornwall at Kits Beach.

The service and food was excellent. We had a variety of Italian/cajan food - scallops/ prawns, seafood pasta. Quantities where very good, dinner was well presented and very delicious. Everyone was very please with their choices.Jazz music was very good but loud which made conversation during dinner difficult.Coverage for the music is 10.00 each and should be included if dinner is ordered.
