Talk about an american cultural epicenter! smack in the middle of an infertile food destination (with the exception of the large tamal place above the road) but from almost everywhere accessible, we pass carol’s corner on the way to almost everything. you paring is huge, but when I dress, the place is obviously packed! I park in the back and think that there is no possibility that the owners of all these cars fit into this one place. but when I get to the main entrance, it's like the tardis, much bigger than outside. the place jumps, but I sit and serve quickly and with friendly efficiency. the menu is huge and the choices are America on steroids! After a short scan I settled on the chicken fried steak with a tasty, a choice that the delicious bad decisions of my life exemplary. So let's talk about the cup beef and gerstensuppe. just remember, drink the joy and lean well in my eyes like a dawn from the deepland. seriously, it was perfect. next time I get a bowl of it and call it a day. when that's fried steak, I'm intimidated. it's bigger than my head. a veritable mountain of the land gravy hide kartoffeln and a plank of crust meat like layers of the core of the earth. I'll say that the huh fried steak itself was nothing to write home. most tasting of salt, but the land gravy himself made up and I loved the potatoes smeared. I hit this plate like a marathon runner who hit the road with determinedness, patient and gratitude. When I arrived at the empty plate, I felt like a victorious crawl around the restaurant. When I looked at my Herculean task, the place was so empty by customers as a coastal city after a Tsunami warning. only the wreck of the lunch hour and the poor overworked employees wandered around and tried to clean up. I asked the waiter if it was something I said, or if I smelled bad, but no, it was just the time of the day. When I went outside, the parking lot looked like a ghost town in the mojave desert. everything in all it was a great lunch. they come hungry, the portions are epic. surprise them to the home American experience. it would be nice if they would have fried her chicken steak a little more creative, but the gravitation and the suppe and the tattoos made up for it. next time I go with suppe to blt and I expect it to be in the top-five in the district square. that is the American diner standard. good solid eating with qualified hardworking employees and a feeling of welcome and full. I mean, I love the ethnic cuisine. I live for exotic and interesting. I bless and secrets, but after home to the good old fashion dinner of my youth is like a pilgrimage to the hearts of America.
Omg! this place is amazing! the hospitable family of ga and my mother-in-law brought us to the breakfast on Saturday morning. we're here early at 715. I was super excited to see that they had benedikt! I have the one with a side hath browns with cheese. let me tell them these portions are huge! I couldn't even finish a quarter of it! my man got a hit and asked for a side of hath and the waitress asked if we were going to laugh and laughed lol she said he couldn't be done, so I thought I would share mine. even we couldn't be done! everything was super tasty, hot, cheesy and especially super fresh! jealous we don't have something that I live!
Not only are the portions huge, but also the halves. a full order omelett contains 6 eggs, which seems like 3 kartoffels in the worth of hash brews, 2 slices toast and rest for a whole week. the cookies and gravy were made clear scratches, and all the breakfast meats were large and thick cut. carol might have the biggest parts I've ever seen! the staff was also efficient and friendly. photo below is a half part of the veggie omelette.
