The food was pretty mediocre, especially considering the prices that make it seem like a Michelin Star restaurant, which it certainly isn't. There are many other restaurants in the area that offer reasonable prices and much better food. I can't recommend this place unless you're willing to waste your money. Also, be aware that the menu images you find online are not accurate if you decide to call in an order for takeout.
My friend and I dined here for dinner, and it took us 25 minutes to place our order, followed by another 47 minutes before our food arrived. The prices were steep: $7 for chips, $12 for two tacos, and $15 for a burrito. Unfortunately, the food was just mediocre and not worth the cost. The service left much to be desired; we weren’t seated promptly, received little acknowledgment, and our waitress was almost silent and quite rude. Given the inflated prices, I chose to skip a drink and just have water, only to discover a dead bug in it. To top it all off, there was a hidden fee of around a dollar. Absolutely ridiculous.
The food at this restaurant is excellent. My wife and I shared a half order of nachos and a carne asada quesadilla, which was more than enough for us. The margaritas were a bit strong for our taste, but we tend to be light drinkers. It's a small, cozy spot, but the prices are fair, and the service is outstanding.
Awful customer service.Today was a hot Thursday and usually restaurants are not so busy on Thursdays, so we decided to come here to have an early dinner. About 80% of the tables were available/empty and we wanted to sit outside. The available table had 4 chairs and we were 2. They refused to give us this 4-chair table asking us to wait in the heat for the table with only 2 chairs to become available. While we were here, the table with 4 chairs was not taken. After we left the restaurant, we walked a few blocks around and came back in front of the restaurant, and again no one was at the table with 4 chairs. In addition to the high pricing, we could not figure out the extra charges on the bill.
The food was good (the fish taco was incredibly overpriced at $18.50 for 1 taco). The burritos were massive and worth the price. Beans and rice were $5.50 and bland. The salsa and chips (not included with the meal) were excellent. The guacamole was average. Our server was a bit scattered and. It attentive. The person who appeared to be running the place was super nice. Our bill was $80 for three dinners, a beer, a soda and chips/salsa/guacamole way too expensive in my opinion.
