Skippers Seafood - Vancouver

Affordable and delicious seafood with quick service! Their fish and chips are incredibly tasty, even surpassing many pricier establishments nearby. The fries can get a bit soggy from the fish oil, but they're still enjoyable. I also really enjoy their clam chowder; it’s full of flavor and includes some nice chunks of clam. After the pandemic, they added a service window which is quite efficient. They did forget to give me a spoon with my soup on my last visit, but aside from that, I have no complaints about my experiences here!

I thought all skippers had gone out of business long ago, so I was very excited and surprised to discover a few weeks ago that this place still exists! The food was just as delicious as I remembered from years ago, and the service was fast and friendly. The menu primarily features roasted seafood, so if you're looking for lighter options, this might not be the best choice for you. Personally, I would happily drive the 30 minutes back to this restaurant, as the food and nostalgia are worth it. I ordered the Captain's Platter, which came with fish, shrimp, fries, and coleslaw.
