The interior of this pub is very interesting and brimming with history. We were lucky to get a table by the window with a nice view of the waterfront. It’s a short hike to the restrooms downstairs but well worth it because there’s lots to look at and enjoy along the way. The atmosphere felt a little formal and not very relaxed.
The location is very convenient, steps away from the waterfront station. The restaurant has cool decor and is located in a classic Vancouver building. If you’re lucky you can get seated with a window view of the waterfront. The food was delicious and had a varied selection.
My wife and I were here for Brunch today. The food was good. I had a benny eggs with pulled pork and an onion ring. An interesting classic that was a welcome change.
We had an amazing time here (and totally by chance we ended up here on a Friday night our original plan was dinner at Grouse mountain however they closed for a private event (whole other story! So first we found ourselves at a neighbouring restaurant who sat us on their patio (in 5C weather so we enjoyed a drink and found this spot to eat. We are SO happy we did!! The service was amazing, food was absolutely delicious and despite the door opening and closing constantly — the hostess was great at keeping things moving and the door closed. We would definitely recommend this spot, for sure!
We had a great visit to Steamworks Brewpub on a moderately busy Sunday evening. We were sat immediately (after we showed our vaccination status , and the staff were prompt and attentive. We tried the beer soup (excellent! , the seafood chowder (good , and the fish and chips (good . The preparations were good for everything we ate, but the beer soup was the standout. The soup portions could be a little larger, but that's my only complaint: they're good enough that I wanted more. We also tried the Copper Roof(? ale and the stout on nitro. Both were good, but I would pick something else to replace the Copper Roof. Apparently we also should have gotten the pretzel.
