Very healthy and incredibly tasty. The serving was generous and good value. Seating is limited, so I can imagine it being very busy a lot of the time. There 's a 'Japaribbean ' fusion happening here. Smooth reggae was playing softly throughout my visit. Service is casual and friendly. I 'll be back for sure. Along with the Mexican restaurant , that makes two great ones that i know of in this block.
This hidden gem is amazing, just UNREAL MAN. Have you ever had a spicy Jamaican beef patty?!?? They are absolutely delicious!!!<br/ They are 2.75each. The owner is ken and the wife is junko, an amazing chef WOW! The decor is beautiful and yes, that's a real lion inside his establishment. If your a vancouverite you gotta try it here, Phenomenal!<br/ They are such a cute couple. Who would've thought Japanese /Caribbean fused food. Absolutely wonderful!<br/ <br/
Japaribbean! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We hit this place a lot for breakfast, cheap, great and the atmosphere is perfect to start the day. Dinner Id recommend the jerk chicken with a patty to go for midnight snack. Awesome owner as well, you're in for a treat!
Great spot. Had breakfast at the Lion's Den today. What a great spot! The owner, Ken, is great and the breakfast was delicious (especially the potatoes! and well priced. Will definitely be back!
Brilliant!. Ken is great fun and I highly recommend trying this restaurant.<br/ <br/ I had the curried lamb and was pleasantly surprised that it was led by a small but fresh mixed greens salad. Ken came and sat with us and made us feel comfortable in his 14 year plus establishment. The lamb was tender and delicious, to me anyway.<br/ <br/ We signed his calendar after he told us the story of his lion. If you are wanting something different, unique and good ... try this one out.
