Alibi Room - Vancouver

We read the reviews and decided to come here for dinner and beer. They have quite an extensive selection of local and some not so local beers. These beers have flavor and body. If your tastes for beer are more mainstream, flavorless, and mundane then don't bother. We started with the cheese plate which was very good. Then had the lamb skewer on couscous which was excellent. The waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable. We ordered 2 sets of flights that the waitress picked all the beers for me. I mentioned starting with a blond and ending with a stout. She amazed us with a great selection of 8 different beers. If you are a serious beer lover then definitely stop in grab your buddies or your girl swing on in and grab a pint, a flight, or 2. Definitely a great place to come when in Vancouver.

We had heard about this restaurant via Trip Advisor but when we started to walk there and went through Gastown through an area that was a little dodgy we were not so sure. There was nothing to worry about. After a very short wait we were offered a seat at the bar until a table was ready. There are 50 beers on tap here so I asked for the bartender to make me up a recommended flight. His choices were excellent. He did warn me that the 9% beer was very smooth and can hit you but it was my favourite. We chose to have three appetizers and that proved to be a good choice. The food was fresh and tasty and very filling. It all had great flavour. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to any of my friends

This place is a must! Don't let it put you off that it's a little further out of Gas Town than others, it's well worth the walk! We sat outside and had their 'Flight of Four' taster beers and all were great. Choice was so vast I couldn't choose to the waiter happily chose for me.When the food came it was fantastic - really great beef burger and my wife thought the veggie burger was one of the best she'd ever had! Arrived in Vancouver, got to the hotel and then followed google right to this place. My initial disappointments of walking straight through Gastown and onto a quieter road quickly went away as we saw the huge, already busy restaurant with tables outside. The food was great (more than enough choice for veggies) and the beer was plentiful and the staff were so warm and welcoming. Great price too. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend ordered his staple corned beef hash & absolutely loved it. I tried the smoked salmon eggs benny & must say the hollandaise was the best I've had after traveling to Europe & other provinces in Canada. Drink sizes were on point. Would come again. The natural light is great & the decor is a hipster's dream.
