Asa Sushi - Vancouver

Always come here for the huge lunch and dinner boxes. Dinner Box A is the best with so much fresh food and variety. I had some tempura, roll, salad, nigiri, and sashimi included in the box for under $20. It’s wonderful you can try everything without having to spend a lot of money.

Asa Mango Tower Sashimi is the bomb! We had no idea it existed until we saw the table next to us get it and we immediately asked the server for it too. Presentation is beautiful and the tower includes an interesting combination of ingredients like salmon, tuna, avocado, crab, tamago and mango. The sauces are delicious and the mango is a perfect addition to the sashimi and crab.

Great deals and great food! The lunch specials have a nice variety of delicious food and big portions. I also really like having the gyoza and sushi pizza. I always get constant refills for tea too. The food is consistently high quality and tasty so this is my favourite sushi place in Kerrisdale.

This is by far the worst Sushi Restaurant in the Westside Kerrisdale area. I would not recommend ASA Sushi unless you want to waste your money on a terrible menu. I had the misfortune of ordering off their regular menu for take-out. I waited over 25 minutes for food that was inedible. Soggy tempura, cold stringy Teriyaki Beef, cold rice, and water-drenched tasteless salad. Sushi was not fresh and I ended up throwing it out because I was afraid of getting sick. Dumbfounded how this place has stayed in business with such incredibly poor service and equally poor quality of food. If I could rate ASA 0 stars I would, but apparently that's not an option. DO NOT WASTE your time or cash there are way better Japanese restaurant choices in the immediate area.

Undercooked rice and stale sashimi. The sauce used is overpowering - either too sweet or salty. Service is too slow - either to serve water or replace cutlery. It's a Japanese restaurant ran by Koreans - the essence of Japanese cuisine is lost in translation.
