Went there before a Lion's game, had a great table on the patio with a great waitress. Drinks were good, most of the food was good. Kitchen got really slow. On a game day when you know it will be busy, schedule accordingly! I ordered a ABLT Sandwich, cost of almost $13.00 with only 2 pieces of bacon! Had tons of lettuce, and could barely taste the avocado. If I am paying for a "bacon" lettuce and tomato sandwich, I should be getting enough bacon to justify the name!!!!!
Small bar/pub near Rogers Arena. Excellent food. Mostly BBQ style food on the menu. The service was excellent. I would definitely eat here again. I enjoyed the burnt end sliders... delicious!!!
An early evening drink was much needed on a nice sunny evening walk. We came about this bar as we walked Robson St. People sitting outside seemed to be enjoying themselves, so we went in and got served straight away at the bar. Plenty of beer choices, as well as food. A good atmosphere makes all the difference, and we enjoyed a couple of beers here. We didn't have food, but there were people eating.
I moved from Vancouver to the Deep South (Alabama) 18 months ago, and I've been searching ever since for fried chicken better than what's on offer at Back 40. I've traveled to every state in the SEC. It doesn't exist. There are some runners-up in Vicksburg MS, Jackson AL, and Darlington SC - but they're not even close. Food is great. Sides are great. Servers are friendly. Location rules, particularly if you're heading out for a 3-down football game in July the way god intended it.
