Bubble Queen - Vancouver

My husband and I recently tried bubble drinks for the first time at this restaurant. I ordered the matcha milk drink with coconut jelly, while my husband ordered the ferrero rocher drink also with coconut jelly. His drink had a ferrero rocher and whipped cream on top. The matcha drink was not too sweet and my husband really enjoyed his drink. The owner was friendly and gave us a waffle to try. We learned that this was her second store and she had been operating in Vancouver for 3 years. We will definitely be returning to try more drinks as they offer a great variety that is different from other bubble tea places we have tried. The customer service was excellent.

One of the best pairings in the world of Asian cafe food has got to be a bubble tea drink and a bubble waffle.  In Metro Vancouver, there is a place that does both well and their name suggests that they are the finest of them all.  Bubble Queen has two locations in Richmond and Vancouver and has an extensive menu of bubble tea and bubble waffles.  Depending on the seasonality, they use fresh fruit like mango and taro in their offerings.

I visited Bubble Queen's cozy Oak Street location on a Monday afternoon. The store was not very crowded and the service was quite quick. Bubble Queen offers a wide selection of flavors and types of drinks to choose from. I tried the ferrero rocher bubble tea and was pleasantly impressed. The drink was sweet but not too sweet, and the flavor of the ferrero rocher was unexpectedly delicious. In general, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely return.

The drinks and waffle were alright. Though I was on break at work so I was kind of tight on time and the waffles did take longer than expected to make. I got the mango mochi bubble waffle, and orange kitkat bbt with vanilla icecream, while my friend got the mango slush. He did note that the mango slush tasted creamier than normal, but tasted like the mangoes were really fresh. Would I come again? Maybe if someone asked, but not by myself.

I really like this place. I work around this area and I usually order takeout through the phone. Their mango are really fresh. Hours is great sometimes I can even drop by early morning at 8am for bbt when I'm craving.
